We get a lot of questions about where we got our name. I thought I would take some time today to answer the most common question we get, and that is: “what’s the secret slice?”
The term ‘secret slice’ came about around the year 2009, before we moved back to Iowa for the last time. We read a book called ‘Slice of Organic Life’. The book’s contents aside, the imagery of the title stuck with us. We wanted to offer people around us a slice of our lives. More importantly, we wanted to offer the ‘best slice’.
The ‘Secret Slice,’ to us, is that powerful part of life which is invisible, intangible and all-important, that comes when we can train our eyes to see beyond just the physical needs we have, and to look at life not just as it is, but for what it is becoming, and how it was designed to be.
