PASTURED CHICKEN
2016 PRE-ORDER FORM
Our chickens are raised on pasture in small flocks, moved twice daily for sanitation and so that our birds have a constant supply of healthy forage. Our pastures are never treated with any herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers.
Our birds are never fed any antibiotics, steroids, hormones, or animal by-products!
Prices:
Pre-orders are $2.75 per pound. Our chickens average 4-6 lbs or a total of about $11-$17 each. Add $2.00 to have a chicken pre-cut into 9 pieces.
Timing:
We will offer 2 batches of chickens this summer and fall. Some people choose to fill their freezer for the year all at once, while others buy a few chickens at a time due to limited freezer space.
This year’s pick-up dates will be June 18 and October 22.
How to Order:
Reserve ahead of time with a $2.00 per chicken deposit, subtracted from your total at pick-up time. Please fill out the order form below. Write under “customer comments” if you want them whole, or cut into 9 pieces. (wings, legs, thighs, breasts, back).
What to Expect:
When the pick-up day draws near, we will be in contact with you to confirm your order. All chickens are picked up at our farm in the afternoon on the processing day. They will be fresh, ready-to-cook, and packed in clear plastic bags. They will be chilled, but not frozen.
Note: Currently Iowa law limits the number of birds we can produce each year. Because of the limited production, chickens are sold on a first come, first served basis, so make sure to pre-order as soon as you are able! In the unlikely event that you put down a deposit after all available birds are sold, you may choose to have your deposit refunded, or apply it to a later delivery date.
