Meet our Cows

We have six cows.  We thought perhaps some of you would like to meet them, so we will introduce you.

This is cow #2.  She is gentle and huge.  Like all our cows this is our second spring with her.  She is a little darker red than the other herefords.  Last year she had a bull calf.

This is cow #3.  Her previous owners called her ‘Panda’ because she has spots over her eyes. We just call her “3”.

This is #4.  She is currently our pride and joy because she is the only one with a calf so far this spring.  Her calf was born on March 23rd.   It is a bull calf.  She looks proud doesn’t she?

This is #6.  She may be the most onerous of all our cows.  I think as I took this picture she was contemplating a charge.

This of course, is #7.  She is the eater.  If you look, most of the time you can find her with her face in some hay.

And last is #8.  Probably the prettiest, she doesn’t get too excited.  Unless, that is you are trying to tell her what to do.
