Even though it doesn’t feel like spring today, we know that it will not be long before our garden is going to be full of young plants. That being the case, it is important to keep our chickens from scratching around in the garden beds.
The fences in our chicken run are only about five feet tall, so in order to keep them from flying out we have to clip their wings. While it sounds traumatic, they don’t seem to mind at all. It’s just like a haircut. Here is a video of how to keep your chickens from flying.
