I know everybody and their brother is talking about the weather today, but since some of you reading this live outside the boundaries of the winter wonderland, I thought I would share some photos.
This was the view out of the east window this morning. I have to admit I held off looking outside as long as I could. Even though the snow wasn’t exactly welcome this morning, it is really pretty to see the combination of green and white in the trees, and long grass in the road ditches.
The rhubarb is being a good sport. I don’t think there will be much frost damage because the ground and air aren’t really that cold (mid/upper 30’s).
We weren’t all complaints this morning, though. You can’t keep a good man down. This one didn’t even want breakfast until he had a chance to get out and test out this May snow.
I think he graded it pretty high.
Things are still looking like spring in the greenhouse though. The brassicas like the cooler temps. The little heater we have in there kept it at about 43 degrees through the night.
So in the words of the boys, “Merry Christmas.”
